This project is an academic exercise carried out as part of the Texturing and Shading course, completed during the third year of the Animation degree at U-Tad University. For its development, the instructor Javier Gamero Sánchez provided the base bust and hair of the character, from which I carried out the UV unwrapping and the full texturing process using Mari, through the projection of high-quality scanned textures. Additionally, I made adjustments to the hair, trimming its length and enhancing the appearance of curled tips.
As a personal contribution to the project, I modeled and sculpted a helmet inspired by Orc aesthetics, developed in ZBrush. As reference, I used the work of digital sculptor CGgal, as a personal practice exercise and to further expand my knowledge of the software. A key challenge of the project was the integration of the helmet with the hair, as the design required careful work to ensure that hair strands could naturally emerge from the sides, maintaining visual coherence throughout the final asset.
